Meet The Instructors
Tom Nisson
Tom is a retired law enforcement officer with thirty (30) years of experience; recently retired as a Chief of Police. During the course of his law enforcement career, he became a certified instructor with the FBI and the NRA as well as the NRA law enforcement instructor development program.

Mike Wuertz
Mike is an NRA-certified rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor who has been teaching firearms safety and marksmanship since 2006. A competitive clay shooting and small-bore rifle competitor, Mike brings decades of practical shooting experience to his instruction. Professionally, he is a farmer and rancher and previously served as an armed security officer. An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Mike has extensive experience pursuing big game, waterfowl, and upland game birds, giving him a well-rounded perspective on firearm use in both sporting and field environments.
